what are the chance a 02 silver hood will match a 98 silver camaro

Honestly you might get lucky and it match. The silvers for those years have a bunch of different formulas that makes each one a little different. Its worth a shot.

Even if they're the same paint code, they can vary. Different batches of paint and being painted at different facilities will cause the colors do slightly differ. As long as it's factory paint on both vehicles, I'd bet they will be a close match

it's not a metallic paint so it should be pretty close

i think im better off trying my luck with a oem ss hood already my color rather than buying a fiberglass one and having it painted ya know?

You will have a better shot at it matching. Even if you color match a color you can change the shade by the air pressure you spray at. Good luck.

so you agree that im best off getting an oemhood already my color rather than just buying aftermarket and getting it painted?

might match might not match but you would save a lot in labor having a used oem hood in good shape blended out into the fenders if worse case it doesnt match. and IT IS a metallic paint obviously
