Default Paging PRO STOCK -LS6 VS LS1 heads

Anyone with flow test comparison between these two stock heads?
I'm contemplating swapping a 02 Z06 Cam in my LS1, I am told that I wouldn't get more than 15rwhp with my mods due to the LS1 heads. Would this be true?
My last Dyno (before 3:73) with 3:23 w/o N2O
347.6rwhp\354TQ.

I'm not sure what you're looking for information wise exactly, but a stock LS6 head flows similarly to a stage 1 ported LS1 head. LS6 heads usually have very high peak flow numbers with a stage II port (high flow at high lift) and can sometimes sacrifice a little flow at lower RPM's over a stage II LS1 head (not much though if ported properly.)

If you're running stock heads you could definately get a little more power out of a stock LS6 head, although if you're going to pull the heads off anyway you might as well go with a set of ported heads. SDPC has their CNC Lingenfelter ported LS6 heads for a decent price.

I have the Lingfelter ported heads from SDPC. They are a great value with no core charge

Ok, what I wish to do is either swap a 02 Z06 or a Stealth cam with stock LS1 heads.
What power increase can I look at with my mods?
My last Dyno # with 3:23 above in post. I have 3:73 now.

You'll make more power with the stealth cam over the LS6 cam. If you are looking for a low budget kind of setup, I think the stealth cam and the SDPC ported LS6 heads would get you close to 400RWHP and for not too much money and still idle close to stock. You'll need good valve springs (comp 918's would be good) though with the stealth cam because it has big lift.

With your stock heads you won't be seeing the the same power as with a set of ported heads, but you might be able to get like 25+RWHP out of the stealth cam, although that's just a guess. Also by looking at your bio I'd get full longtube headers also...

An MTI stealth cam would do more than a Z06 cam for example.

I would not swap on stock LS6 heads ever.

Dont get too caught up in those flow numbers. On a 346CI motor with a small cam I dont think you will see much/if any gain in switching to LS6 heads. Stick with your LS1 heads. you will see 20-30 RWHP switching to the LS6 cam and probably more using a "stealth" cam from a vendor.
