Default Supercharged guys-Cutout question

I'm asking in this section because I'm curious about the gains from a cutout "or two cutouts" on high HP supercharged cars. The goal for my new setup is 850rwhp. At that level I'm wondering how much my exhaust system is costing me HP wise. I would like to get two cutouts, one off of each header, but I'm really running low on money. I estimate that I barely have enough to finish this project.

My current exhaust system consist of Hooker 1 3/4" LT's, ORY, and a Corsa catback. Not really ideal for my setup but the exhaust was the first thing I changed on the car and my goals were not quite as high at the time. Do you guys think it would be worth 800$ to put a cutout right after each header? I'm really not a fan of the sound of a Y with a cutout.

I've done a search and it seems the turbo guys are getting huge gains from cutouts but I figure that is mostly from the gain in boost so it is irrelevant.

Are you going to get it tuned for the cutouts being opened? Bob

I was planning on checking it with them open and closed. If I had it tunned with them open do you think the tune would still be safe with them closed? I figure if you tune with them open it will just be a tad richer with them closed. If they are going to throw the tune off a whole lot one way or the other I'm not going to bother with them as money is getting tight anyway because I'm quitting my job and going back to college in a month.

Good point. I thought the electric cutouts I was looking for were like 360+ shipping each. This has me reconsidering.

I'll probably just get a couple normal cutouts and have it tunned with the cutouts open.

DMH is the best cutouts to go with, way cheaper than those posted!
