you need to get off of those wax tires, that would be a great start. trap looks good, but i think it's slightly inflated because of the spinning...only one way to find out. hopefully i'll have all that **** done this weekend and be out clicking of mid-12s with the ta in the next couple of weeks.

Wax tires might go when I get some money.....Mid 12's would be pretty sweet out of that car.

Should be a low 13 second car with good traction and the mods, maybe even high 12s, but you need 60 foots in the 2.0 range. Just keep making runs and learning what the car wants / can handle for launches and shifting.

IMHO, get rid of the flowmaster for something that has better flow and get a tune for the best power with your set-up.

everyone says this. i have yet to see any proof that the muffler is so bad. i can post timeslips of "my" car trapping 108-109 with a lid and flowmaster only, pre-pro 5.0 even hah. in central indiana, middle of the summer, da ~2500'. it's not like i'm racing at sub-sea level elevations. full weight car, nothing removed, in all honesty it had extra **** in it at the time.

Be careful if you do decide to get some sticky tires, 10bolt+stickes=rear end upgrade in near future.

yeah youve seen them, but im sure they arent consistant over a period of time.... at least with a 6speed, more valvetrain shock

first... shift that car HIGHER... at least in 3rd. I still believe that IF you hit the limiter in 3rd it will be at the 1320 or damn close. its not like the limiter is set at 7 grand or anything. You will see alot of people on here will ride third out. Dont be scared

i shifted my car at 6200 and went 13.1 with a mph of 109

your car will go low 13s on those tires, just gotta get a decent launch down where you get minimal wheelspin, but dont bog the car. 2500 or 3 grand is where i went from on my car.

a drag radial, and NOT babying the car will get you into the 12's. I will be more than happy to do it for you if you wish....

agreed.

now a cover will help, but in a 6speed car that 10 bolt wont last real long, if the car is driven the way it needs to be to run the number

I think if I short shift 3rd I'll do better....and let 4th roll out. But I'll try both ways sometime

it only 1.65 once or twice.... remember it had an automatic in it for a long time. big difference

short shifting to 4th is not going to make one difference... you are gonna be lower in the power range, and in theory the car will be slower. riding 3rd out will eliminate the shift and save time which is your question... time.... not mph

It should bounce on the limiter in 3rd at 105-maybe 6 so I guess it should shave time.
