Take the entire pump off and cut the lines down by the rack. Use a piece of hose and loop the two together. I think I used a 50 1/2 or a 51 /12 inch belt.

well i have manual steering on my 5.0...its only bad at speeds of under 10mph....and trying to park is a bitch...im just going to loop the lines for the ws6...not going to buy a manual rack for it...the flaming river kit for the stang was 350...so could only imagine how much it would cost for a f body...

yeah even if i left fluid in there it would leak out the seals in my 100k+ rack. it sounds like i will have to just replace the damn rack. i have run a bottle of lucas through it with no help.

I forgot to tell you I have an underdrive pulley. I left some fluid in mine and it isn't that bad to drive on the street. If you have the stock wheels up front then it'll be a little more of a PITA.
