Default Stock long block Lq-9 makes 825/847 to the tires!!!!

Well the GTO did well with the 90k+ mile junk yard motor today. S374 with the new race cover at 19psi and made 825@5300 and 847 @5000. We ran the 372 @19psi and made 747 to the tires. The new race cover was worth about 30 ponies over the old one.

I will post dyno sheets and vid tomorrow.

Bullseye S374 turbo? Nice to see those turbo's putting down some real world numbers Still working on the funding for the one we talked about

There is also some great numbers(track and dyno) being put down with these units on turbomustangs as well.

Hope you have a new mill planned for that Goat

Stock 03 LQ9 Escalade engine never opened, we installed prc dual valve springs from my borken GTO LS2, this same LQ9 engine went 11.80 at 119 in Chris B's black silverado SS last fall, with a Turbo system built by TJ at Baker.

My 34K mile LS2 would still be going if the stock cam bolts installed by GM didn;t back out bending all of my valves, we made 749 RWH the same day it broke making a 135-140 mph pull in 5th gear with four people in the car.

We will see the stock LS2 took punishment for over 6 months at 749whp. We don't really care as its a $750 junk yard engine. If it lasts 6 months again, then well....cool I guess.

wow, those predictions must have come from years of engine building and tuning experience. i never would have thought a stock production engine would expire when making twice it's intended power.

give it hell hellbents10 - people hate to see others get big power out of stock parts

It is not that we hate to see big power made from stock motors, we just know the carnage that will result from it. It is only a matter of time and sooner rather than later. If 750 rwhp could reliably be made from a stock LQ9 motor, I would have bought a used one rather than a $10K motor

Six speed. You can't reliably make 750whp on any motor really, if you are talking the 200k mile stock vehicle reliability. He drives the car 3-5k miles a season. If it lasts that long good enough. We build a lot of engines here and we know its a time bomb, but like the last one....it will last longer then everyone thinks. Its all about having everything else sorted out, like the fuel system has to be rock solid all of the time. One hiccup and this thing is gone.

The LS2 that was in it for 6 months that failed because of the cam bolts would have been reliable for a long time. The whole bottom end looked like new including the pistons and bearings.

Power curve looks pretty linear too. We're gonna have to see what we can get out of the 76 when we get it back. I'm getting jeleous...i'm gonna call my gal Benita and see what the dilly-o is.
