Just curious as to why you can't run it out the back door with the glide? TH400 is heavier and sucks up more power.. I figured the car would act a little nicer out of the hole with the glide especially with a big shot since the higher first gear ratio doesn't hit the tires so hard. Main reason I'm saying this is because I'm swapping my Th400 for a glide as we speak. lol

i run my car in a 9.50 class so when i do i usually run it on motor. to do this i need to gear the hell out of the car, so with the 100 shot im all done, and if i gear it to where i need to be to run 150+ i will no longer run as well on motor unless i put a 400 in the car that gives me my 1st gear to get up and go, and the rear gear to run it out the back door.
when i was running full duty all the time the glide is unreal, but now trying to do 2 things with the car, i need a tranny change

Ahhhh!!!! You were making me nervous there for a second! Had me thinking there was something I was missing out on! lol

I see your point and I know exactly what you mean.. You can't run enough rear gear with a glide to run good N/A numbers and spray the hell out of it too. Like they always say "You can't have the best of both worlds.. You have to sacrifice one for the other!" Which kinda sucks sometimes cause you don't always want to spray the car to run a decent e.t.

I've already gotten the Glide in the car! lol And I got an even better deal on mine. TCI Planetaries (lifetime warranty), TCI Drum, TCI Brake, etc.. Its still got the stock case, but I can change that later. I like it because its got the 2.02 first gear set in it. That way I don't have to gear the **** out of it to get moving.. Should work well with 4.10 gears, 4500 converter & 300 worth of the good stuff..

You are really making it tempting to buy your trans. Th400 and the fastest time possible or Power glide and be consistent with a slower time? Hard to know which one is better.

if you gear it correct the power glide will be just as fast or very close.

if i didnt run on motor and spray i would just gear the car with a 3:90 and hit it with 200-250 and try to run 8.50-8.70
but if i gear it like that i will hurt my all motor times which i run in another class. so to be competitive i need a 3:73 with a good 1st gear so i dont loose it on motor.

let me know, we can work somthing out, i would think my drive shaft and cross memebr would fit your car (if your 12 bolt) and i will deal on that as well.
let me know
