Default 32mm sway bar bushing too tall for 30mm bushing bracket ?

I have a 32mm sway bar and energy suspension bushing #3.5162G (5290 stamped on bushing) that is too tall for the stock 30mm bushing bracket # 10259206 (the u shape piece that holds the bushing)
Do I need a different bracket ?

The energy suspension part did not come with a new bracket and using the old one does not work

I used washers to space the bracket out, works fine. If you clamp it down tight it will bind the sway bar up causing a rougher ride and worse handling.

So washers won't weaken the bracket (u shape) or induce play, wear or looseness ?
