if it was a V6 its right tire fire, not posi unless it was the performance packge but i dought it. If it came from a V8 it should be posi/ limited slip diff

It does have posi. But it sounds like the limited slip is out. Otherwise the right side tire would be the one spinning..

put a jackstands on rear frame jack the rear up until rear tires not touching the ground.put your shifter on neutral make sure to put blocks on the front tires so it wont move.now go back to one of your rear tire and spin it in one direction and look at the other tire.if its goin in the same direction as the one your spinning you have a posi unit.if its goin the other way or opposite it might be the cause of your one tire burnout.

Not entirely true. A true posi (or spool) will turn both wheels the same way when you turn a tire. Most limited slip diff's (like the torsen diff that comes in 98-02 V8 f-bodys) will spin opposite directions when spinning one wheel.

V6 cars came with open differentials and also came with drum brakes. all v8 cars came with the torsen differential, and disc brakes on the rear. Only cars that had auburn units were some SLP SS cars and i believe firehawks.

Quick Reply: 1 wheel spinning!!
