Does this seem right? First time at the track.
97 lt1 camaro 6 speed. K/n intake, magnaflow catback, and under drive pullies as far as power adders go.
Sort of dissapointed to be honest. I was hoping for at least low 14's, high 13's. This was my first time at the strip. Also im fairly sure the fuel pump is on the way out. Son of a bitch didnt want to start without excessive cranking, and even vapor locked twice. Sounded like it was knocking, i started freaking out. The car was running abnormally high temp, it was fairly hot out.. but i mean the temp was at110-115 degrees at idle in staging, about 102degrees at the tree. Then dropped from there obviously.
Anyways for the times.
1st run ever, Went from 3rd, to 5th, then back to 3 again

Seems like the car is really lacking on the top end. i have a feeling the fuel pump is going to bite it soon, need to get a guage on it.
So that was my exciting adventure for tonight. Car should run about a 14 stock. I only have a catback,underdrive pullies, and k/n intake as far as power adders go. Granted its only like 20 hp TOPS, i imagine with some better driving and more practice i should be able to see 13s.

You need drag radials. That will help alot. Should get you down to the 13's like you want. you could try porting and polishing the stock TB, take the air filter out at the track, unbolt the front sway bar or get rid of it completely. Check out some of the wieght reduction stuff and free mod ideas.

Hmm Just my 2ct but I wouldnt take the air filter out especially at the track you pick up a bunch trash from the racing surface and its not going to make that big of a difference especially if your already running aftermarket CAI.
Ive seen a couple people mention taking the front sway bar off for weight BUT ME SKEEERED to do that. What would it do to the front end? Input would be nice

Hmm Just my 2ct but I wouldnt take the air filter out especially at the track you pick up a bunch trash from the racing surface and its not going to make that big of a difference especially if your already running aftermarket CAI.
