Default Part of the AIR system?

Well my dad went through all my parts and now I can't recall if this was in the AIR/EGR trash pile or in with all the good stuff?? It connects to the passenger side of the Intake Manifold BTW and Im 99.99% sure its part of AIR but just want to clarify.

I don't remember capping off anything on the passenger side of the intake for air removal...
