Default 1st track passes with new set-up

After installing everything in my sig. I took the car out to the track for the first time. I'm kind of disappointed in it though.

Ran a 12.11 @ 116 w/ 1.9 60ft.

I didn't air down the tires though. I was really hoping for mid to high 11's and never got it. With my trap speed I should be in the mid 11's. Is it possible for me to achieve it still with the set-up I have and is there anything I can do to get there? I know my 60 ft would have been better if I aired down the tires cause I couldn't launch over 2k rpms or else I'd spin.

Do I still have potential to get a mid 11 second car and does lowering the tire PSI really make that big of a difference in ET?

You need a better set of tires. MT street radials work very well. I wouldn't be surprized if you cut at least 3 tenths off your 60ft. times.

You didn't mention the time of day you ran. I also see you live in three different states. Wait until it's a little cooler. Better yet, come to that bash deal. October should always yield better et over July. Don't abuse the car for the sake of running 11's. You said it was your first run with the new set-up. Now you need to fine tune it. It's that simple EVERYONE is required to do that.

Good luck have fun and keep racing on the track!

You need MT dragradials or Hoosier dragradials with 18psi or 20psi, with a similar setup my silver Formula ran consistant 1.61 to 1.65 60'. This time of year (hot /humid) the car ran 11.7-11.8 @ 115- 116mph, in cold 50* air the car ran a best of 11.36@ 119mph.

The Nitto's in your sig are good street tires but forget about traction at the track.

The car will get there. You have good MPH, but a horrible 60. It happens. Get better tires and run the crap out of it when it gets a little cooler out.
