According to the brochure, the LS3 in the new Camaro SS has 422hp @ 5,000rpm, but in the Corvette the LS3 has 430hp @ 6,000rpm. I can see a peak rpm difference of a couple hundred rpm due to intake and exhaust, but not 1,000rpm without major internal changes. Does the Camaro version get a different cam? Is the 5,000 a typo or is the 422hp not at the peak of the hp curve? Is GM hiding something, or just fat fingered?

I noticed that too... I'm guessing its been fat-fingered and should be 6000.

I wasn't talking about redline, I was talking about where in the power curve the peak HP is.

i think its under rated AND they have fat fingers. if it's basically a L92 shouldn't it be bale to rev to 6000 or 6500 with no problem?
