Dataloggers for use with OBDII?
Are there any data/run loggers that can work with the stock computer and then be read by something like EFI Live? It would be kinda nice to have a compact box to log the data during a run and then review it between rounds.

Ease makes a Dataloggoer blackbox that connects to the ADLC connector under your dash.
It can store many recordings and then you connect that to your PC that has the Ease PCM scanner, it downloads the recording from the box and can be stored, replayed or analyzed on PC.

I just leave my laptop connected during runs.
I usually turn off the suspend mode option so that I can close the screen without it shutting down. This way the laptop is still on and logging. The laptop either slides under the seat from the back or I just leave it in the rear floor board. The other solution is to get a serial cable extension and place the laptop in the t-top storage area in the back.

If you have a laptop I would go with EFI Live. Been there and done that tried the other loggers and the simplicity of EFI Live is far superior to those others.

Go to http://obd2.com/catalog/viewcat.htm
click on Data Logger.
It can store up to 63 recordings, up to 12 hours worth.
Is only 8 inches by 2 1/2 inches which makes it easy to mount/place anywhere in car and has LEDs and buzzer alarms for trigger setups.
Again you then also need the Ease scanner and you just plug logger to it and click on Data Logger Icon and it downloads recording to Ease scanner

Re: Dataloggers for use with OBDII?
Thanks John. It looks like some good stuff. How do you like the data that comes out of it and the analysis ability?
