Default Got new tires...

I finally got new tires, nothing special about them. Theyre Falken ZIEX ZE-502's. I think they look nice, and sorry about the cruddy pictures.

Before I picked them up:

Just had them mounted and balanced:

Actually, those are pretty good tires...I put a set of them on my wife's Lincoln LS several years ago, and was very happy with them until one of them got torn up by something on the road. By that time, they had been discontinued except through "Big-O" tires, so I had to get the ZE-512s.

I really did like the 502s, and even tried to get a couple from "Big-O", but they wouldn't sell them on a "mail order" basis. I think you'll be very happy with them.

Yeah I previously had a set of 512's and just ran them bald pretty fast. Then I had a blow out, and my friend had one 502. I put that on, and just decided to buy all four 502s for $400 balanced, and mounted.

I got them for $400 out the door, balanced, and mounted. I purchased them at a local tire and wheel shop over here in Southern California.

What I forgot to say, is that I also put a new set of tires on my Z-28 a couple of months ago. Had I been able to get the 502s, I would have bought them instead of what I did buy. Naturally, I could have gotten the 512s, but I don't think they handle as well as the 502s, based on the experience with my wife's car.

it not a big deal or anything but those 502's have been discontinued for quite a few years. think early 05. no big deal jus saying for thoes who might look for some. shop proly had a few left over's. lot of places are trying to closeout thereolder tires due to the 20/20 news thing about the tire's which is blown way out of porportion. but anyway good find on the price of them. tey are great tires. ive been running 512's on my old honda for awile. now they have been replaced with falken 912's by the way.
