Try gmpartsdirect.com. It's listed on their site, so they may be able to get it.

If I were you I would cut a tank and put the new style fuel pump/sending unit/bucket/venturi system out of a late model car in. Theres tons of cars that have them (late model caddies, GM trucks, f-body, etc)

Back when I was looking the only source for the El Camino ones was GM, (the EC uses a different sender than the monte, cutlass, etc) There supposedly is a difference between the 84-86 sender and the 87 sender but I believe it is just the shape of the float. The 87 sender was still available from GM but it was expensive, around 300 IIRC. I ended up buying a used tank and sender out of a junkyard......which was a bad idea, it was all rusted out and I ended up tossing the tank and buying a re-pop tank and then welding new tubing on the sending unit cause it was all rusted out. Anyway I still wasn`t happy with it. The fuel baffles in the TBI El Camino fuel tanks are not that good and with my spirited driving style the fuel sloshes away from the pump pretty easily and the the car falls on its face. Of course I do kinda drive it rough.

Before you put that tank in do a search for the threads about aftermarket EFI tanks on El Camino central about trouble filling the fuel tanks http://elcaminocentral.com/forum-48.html So far it looks like most if not all the aftermarket tanks are made by the same mfg and are not copied/designed properly. The fix has been to add on an external vent line between the top of the tank and the top of the fuel fill neck.
