Default Injectors for a 396

I'm going for a fully forged 396 build around 500hp at the crank. Now I've used the calculator and it comes out at 40.6 lb. I've read up on other posts but I'm still not sure. What will work with stock fuel rails and computer, and have enough to supply extra fuel for a 100 (dry) shot, I have an additional Zex inline fuel pump. I imagine that going to large is similar to using too large a size carb. Guess what I'm hoping is that some of you guys have a solution. Thanks in advance.

I was going to say 42's as welll. You will be using an upgraded walbro fuel pump right?

Hi ss.slp.ls1,

Hoping my Zex would handle it .

What flow rate should I be looking for ?

Are these things noisy ?

With a 396 I would suggest using at least a Walbro 255lph pump. You can get a kit from Racetronix for ~$150.

The Zex pump is for stock cubes + 100 shot, not a 500 horse 396 + 100 shot.
The Racetronix kit is a plug n play direct replacement. I have one in my car, its not very noisy.

42lb'ers and a Racetronix PnP kit would do well, thats a solid 700fwhp.
