Procharger users/need advice
I currently run a D1SC on my 6.0 with this cam 216 224 .551 .551 lsa 115.
I'm looking for advice on how to get the most over all power out of my set-up.While limiting my max boost to 10#'s.
Here are my 3 ideas, choose what you would think would produce the most over-all power, not just peak power.
1. 4.25" pulley shifted at 5900 rpm's = 10# [current set-up]
2. smaller pulley with lower shift point that ='s 10#
3. smaller pulley with a 5900 rpm shift but restrict intake to blower so it max's at 10#'s and maintains 10#'s until shift point

Since you're wanting to limit your max psi to 10#, I'd personally stick with your current setup and upgrade the cam. (ie: make better use of the manifold pressure you've got). 216/224 on a 6.0 is leaving a lot on the table.

This is the my truck.
Here is my full set-up:
6.0 LQ4
crane cam 216 224 .551 .551 lsa115
D1SC,3 core FMIC, 4.25" pulley
255 walbro in tank
60# motrons
NGK TR6 plugs
edelbrock shorties, jegs catless y pipe and Corsa cat back
perma cool fans
yank tt3000
FLT4L65E
4.11's front and rear with eaton posi
In reg. mode driving it shifts at 5500 and makes 8#'s of boost and in tow/haul it shifts at 5900 and makes 10#.
Exactly as you see in the pics it ran 13.2 @ 100 mph on a warm May night.
Thinking of limiting my boost to 10#'s because my 5.3 lost cylinder #7 @12#'s but my tuner thinks it was do to my original tune that hurt that motor.
So after reading my first post, what I'm looking for is for everything out of my set-up.Do I run more rpm = more boost, pulley down for more low end boost less over all rpm or the restictor plate and pulley down.

EPP Bob,
I've bought some things from you in the past for my set-up and you gave me some good advice.I [Russ] actually called your shop yesterday about the restrictor set-ups and you guys got right back with me.Just wanted say thanks.
Did you stick another engine in it with a stock bottom end? Bob
Yes I did the engine swap this past winter. My full set-up is on post #7 of this thread. It is a stock bottom end 6.0 but has the cam and springs.
