Did anyone see this?I know it aired about a yr. ago.I came across it. They actually filmed this in North County S.D.Its a bunch of ricers with Slow cars,but kinda interesting.

It aired like 5yrs ago LOL that was one of the first 10 episode of "True Life". The mexican guy Eugene races out in Compton he has a fast ass turbo hatch now.

I remember when they where filiming it @ the fullerton street races I was there. The second guy greg leony would hang out @ the in-n-out but most of the time he would bitch out and wouldn't race, he had a right hand drive integra.

Thats funny because @ irwindale i saw a turbo honda with a fiberglass front end that was slow as shit. And it had a prostreet sticker. I don't know if it was a shop car or a just some guy with his sticker but it was slow.

The same night I watched that 6 years ago when aired afterwards was street racing the same night and hit a cop and I was doing 75mph plus and almost died. Irony .

here's vid of a guy in a 07' Honda SI who said he wanted to race me.the guy claimed to be in the 11's and had spanked a shit load of fbodies in the past.he works across the street from my GF's work place. he actually kept harassing my Gf telling her that I better show up and race.What a waste of time and gas they can be...lol!

All those guys are fags IMO.....I've raced most of them and spanked them at that. I hate racing ricers. They always take 30min's to prep their POS and do burnouts with 10 people holding the car. Just to race a 11 sec drag radial lt1 on the street that probably won't even see mid 12's on the street.

eh, hondas, are good cars, but for economy, and reliability... thats it. i would never buy a honda hoping for it to be fast at that time or anytime after. i never saw the point of spending the money on a "fast" car but it didn't make any power till 5/6k rpm. i almost got an 04 V6 6spd Accord coupe a couple months ago, granted it was quick, i just wasnt expecting anything spectacular like f body quickness. and thats how i see it when it comes to hondas (or most imports) racing, its just nothing spectacular to me. but then again, its all about preference in cars.

im a GM muscle car kinda girl, and i dont plan on changing anytime in my life. :)

I still dont see how they would be running 12's that easily. I mean if an s2000 has 240hp and weighs 2,800 and will run low 14's then thay would have to pull a ton of weight out of the civics to make it run 12's and they would also have the fwd disadvantage to deal with. Can those cars get less then 2000lbs?

I know a guy who has a 8 second street driven fox body that I have seen race on the street, I have still seen fast hondas and crap. Just because they aren't going 9's in close to street trim doesn't mean they are not fast. Think about it this way, we start with a mid 13 second car and take 3-4 seconds off that and you have a fast fucking car, especially if you can get it to hook on the street. Now take the honda that stock runs 15 seconds and take 3 to even sometimes 5 seconds off that and I would say that makes a pretty fast honda. Yes a fully built camaro will almost always beat a full built honda, but the fact that the hondas can still get down to 11 or sometimes 10 second street passes with shitty FWD set up and less displacement than a bottle of soda is pretty impressive.

I wouldn't call anything that ran 19's fast unless it was a person literally running. But as far as 11 and 10 second cars, I would say thats fast. 12-13s I would say their quick, and sub 10 second cars (in close to street trim) would be a stupid fast street car.

Lots of people ask me to race my car on the street, But I didn't spend the extra $$ on the SFI shit to be speedracer on the street.

usually its the same crews are always around. It a circle of people. yea i have never seen a gun just some big arguments. it;s somthing for a car to make a 9 second pass on the street, that same car will not make a 9 second pass on the track. Very few cars even in compton make low 9 second passes on the street. most of the faster cars run from 10.50 -12.0. street fast and track fast are 2 diffrent things.

my neighbor use to have a low 12 second honda after about 12 grand but all the burn outs some of those cars have race clutches that have to be heated up smoking the clutch:confused:
