Default Just finished P.S LT header install, couple Q's

97 camaro lt1 6 speed

removed the air pump and lines. Unplugged connectors and removed solinoid also. removed the t out of the drivers side manifold to remove the vacumn line and just plugged in the other line that goes to the back of the manifold directly TO the manifold. EGR is still in place, but the pipe going to the header is blocked off. Thick vacumn line also capped off, however not capped at the egr itself. Took the car for a spin, seems to be lacking power. Sounds like its idling good, shakes at low rpm, much much more then before. The engine light came on as expected, however, its flashing sometimes. Power is smooth through all ranges for the most part, but just seems to be lacking oomph.

1. My mail order tune is on the way from pcmforless.. Will not having this on the stock tune cause the car to go into a limp mode?

2. Should the egr nipple on the back of the manfiold be blocked off as well?

3. A flashing check engine light means a misfire code does it not?

thanks

hooked up a reader and pulled maf( pulled the connect when it was running), and rear bank codes for 02s. that was all. Can there still be a misfire with no codes being shown?

Pulls like train now, sounds ******* amazing too

The install actually isnt that bad in itself. Its just all the akward angles and stuff thats a pain in the ***. I did find one broken manfiold bolt though during the install. My heart pretty much stopped beating there. Then when i looked at the headers and realized that bolt hole that had the broken bolt wasnt even going to be used(rear drivers side bolt, the off side one) i was fairly happy haha

Both of my headers went in from the bottom, only removed the starter, alt, dipstick, and the steering linkage and it was smooth sailing from there.

Im more or less worried about bottoming out on the collector and breaking bolts now :S
