Default QA1 front, AFCO rear, tall tire, M6 come on in....

Well the Midwest 9" is here.... damn it's sexy.

I went with Eric's short TA and crossmember with loop... LCA... and panhard... all chromoly and powdercoated black.... anyways...

I plan to go with QA1s w/ 300lb springs on the front.... AFCO double adjustable rear shocks and stock springs w/ isolators removed....

Currently the car is on 11" ZR1s w/ 315/35 Nittos DRs.... and I know that tire is not tall enough to absorb the 5,500 rpm clutch dumps that I plan on with the car...

So, I'm thinking about a MT DR.... on 15" rim... w/ front runners....

My question is, am I on the right track here? The car has a LS7 clutch and LS2 flywheel....

Let me know your thoughts. I'm looking for 11.20s or bust. The car will make ~480/430 after the Fast 92/92 and re-tune. So, I think I have enough power it's just getting it to the ground through the M6.

Thanks

Well my setup is QA1 fronts, HAL rears with a 28x10.5x15 MT ET drag and Im running a SPEC 3i clutch. I launched last night at 5500rpm and pulled 1.6 60ft times. The setup felt fantastic. I think its got some more in the 60ft though. I got some pretty violent wheel hop because of a possably blown shock. I dont think the drag radials are going to hook well enough for you with the M6.

Heres a vid Im in the far lane.

After chatting with Madman, I've decided to go with AFCO DAs on all four corners....

He says the QA1 DA is very hard to dial in.... that they have a 9/16" shaft... and the valving is not accurate.... where the AFCO has a 7/8" shaft and the valving is much more accurate and easy to dial in....

i was going to say dont even get the qa1's because as soon as you see how the afcos perform your going to ask yourself why the hell did i get qa1's up front. for the price qa1's arent a bad shock but i dont think they compare to afcos. when my cars all finished ill be running a full burkhart chassis suspension, afcos on all 4's, a michey thompson 295/65/15 et street drag radial(got burkharts last set) on the back with a 15x10" 4.5" backspacing street lite with a 26" front runner. but let me add my rear is shortened 3.5" on both sides. also ill be running a stage 4 plus m6 from 6 speed inc. i agree with the clutch thing as well a twin disk mc leod or contact act for some info.

Strange is a good compromise. They fall into the middle between QA1 and AFCO. I can sell you those also.
