Could not have asked for a better day! Sunny and clear, and best of all very few cars at the track, which made for plenty of passes!

SO the Mustangs with the expeption of a couple of big bucks were not much match. There was very little rice out on this day. So lets see how the clud was doing against each other :roc on:

Then to test things out, Mikey and Mark switched cars to eleiminate any driver error. Of course not being familar with each other car BOTH of them missed 3rd gear in the others car.

Now granted DB was on street tires and SOM on DR's but me being a De DEE De put them on the wrong side so the rotation was backwards, which could possibly explain the slow 60' s

So I posted an 8.5 in the Goat and lost several tenths with the missed Shift.

I know Fonzy Posted an 8.4 and to answer his question Yes I managed one as well.

But my hat goes of to Mikey Reaper posting a 7.888 in the 1/8th mile today in these hot conditions.

I think everyone had a good time. On this day I got 8 runs in and I could have got more due to the small crowd.

so is irwindale slicks only or do they allow street tires? i think thats what killed LACR. to much damn kumho rubber on the pavement.

Irwindale, rarely does a Sunday TNT and we lucked out that the PSCA was running at Fontucky, which really cut down the crowd.

They allow street tires, dr's and slicks. What killed LACR was that the mining company owned the land it was built on.

around how many cars went??

we had 5 racing that day, plus a friend and several supporters there with us. 1 car did not make it due to electrical trouble.

FOr the day there was only around 100 cars max I would say maybe not even that many, after lunch there was no line and we coud just hotlap like it was nothing.

They will have another Sunday TNT on 08/24/08.
