Default Compressor

I had a master mechanic at work (I work at a nissan dealer) look at my AC--blower works fine, the air is just hot.

He checked it and it is holding pressure, albeit undercharged. Checked all the relays and fuses, all turned out to be good. The compressor will not kick on for anything though. In looking around I noticed the PCM case is cracked and it looks as though the vehicle was wrecked on the passenger side (jerry rigged fender gave it away.) Where should I start and what tips do you have for me?

if it was low on juice then it may have triggered a low refrigerant code and if it did it will not let the compressor run. i would check your ses codes first.

When the technician plugged his scanner in to the car it wouldn't give him any codes--it wouldn't even recognize that the ignition was on.

Is there anyway to test the PCM or what? I just need to figure out what is going on because Arkansas summers are too intense to be rolling around with that 2-55 ac.

Could be the Diag port and wiring. If the pcm case is cracked it might of let moisture in and started its death by corrosion on everything (even the diag wiring). You might want to get that replaced.

yea i would check your pcm first and go from there. ive replaced every component on mine and it still isn't working right so that leaves the compressor which i am getting replaced in a couple days. good luck with it. a/c can be aggrevating.
