I've got a interesting intermittent buzz. Whenever the car is off there is a buzz from behind the center console/glove box. I removed the radio and moved the ac controls yesterday and couldn't find it.

Whenever I pulled the horn relay it stopped, so I replaced it. It still buzzes...the buzzing will stop if the window buttons are pushed or if the horn is pushed. any idea what kind of ghost in the machine I might have?

No idea what would "buzz" behind that area other than a loose connection (maybe with the horn circuit if it stopped?) or someone else installing something weird (or again, installing something wrong).

Ok so I played around with the car and found out that if the radio is on (factory head unit) when the car is turned off--it doesn't just buzz it sends power to the radio and it plays in spurts.

Question is: What runs through the power windows horn and stereo that could be shorted out.

The factory head unit was disconnected when I got the car so I think I understand why now.

Sounds like the Retained Accessory Power circuits. You are probably gonna need a schematic.

Perhaps you could benefit from the information found on:

http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech1.html

Wiring schematics, etc. w/pics!

Good luck.

Nice job on tracking it down, its always the damn electronics that give you the most crap. Still sucks though, 78.11 just to make the car stop annoying you....

I think it would cost a little more than 78.11 to convert the car to manual windows and locks...and jerry rig the stereo lol.
