Walbro fuel pump bad afert 1k miles??

Walbro fuel pump bad afert 1k miles?? So yesterday on my way home from work my car just shut off. No sputtering, missfiring, or noises. Just shut off like i turned the key off. Now it just cranks but wont start. I think it may be the fuel pump because i had a buddy push on the shrader(sp)? valve while i cranked it and no fuel came out. But i just put this pump in and it might have 1k miles on it. 
Also no trouble codes were set when i checked it this morning.
Just wondering if anyone has had a walbro pump fail so soon.

You can also jumper 12V directly to the pump via the FP prime Connector ref shoebox : http://shbox.com/1/fuel_pump_prime.jpg this bypasses the FP relay and any fuses.
