Default Any Truck guys in here?

Just wondering....my pops has a 99 1/2 ton with the 5.3 in it, and hes put me in charge of making it a little monster......wondering what setups you guys got. I was thinking of going a little different and trying the whipple route on it.....but always open to the D1sc route.....

...goals are clear.....looking for 470-500 whp with good drivability (my dad is old keep in mind.) Economy isnt an issue, but i want ti to be nice and reliable. Truck only sees 3000 miles or less a year. Price isnt a huge option, but he doesnt want to go to wild with it. Along with the FI ill be installing LT headers (undecided on which) a nice fuel system (injectors and big pump), good torque converter, doctor up the rear end, and the whole airbag thing.....

Any help would be appreciated, im still 1/2 a noob and dont know terribly much about the whole truck scene...

Thanks!!!!
