can you cap heater tubes on a waterpump??

Default can you cap heater tubes on a waterpump??

or could i remove the tubes and install small freeze plugs??

anyone done this before?

i am about to do it after i finish building my new dash board. Mine is looped right now but it looks like **** so i want to plug those holes

Yes, I used aluminum NPT plugs on mine:



You can even weld them in to make it look like there was never anything there:

The size plugs for the passenger's side upper and lower pipes are a 3/8" NPT. The driver's side uses a 1/2"NPT. The cheapest way would be to get some brass ones from NAPA, (they sell the thread taps too), but if you want something more fancy like an aluminum anodized plug, your best bet is to check Summit or Jegs. (Aeroquip, Earl's, etc.)
