Default Got my Kooks!

not installed yet but they are sweet, 1 3/4 w/new stamped collectors w/velocity spike, top notch welds and nice metal gaskets to boot. thanks to Byunspeed for the quick service and to kooks for backing up their price with top quality craftsmanship. y-pipe is very nice as well.

I'm leaning toward gm stocker or using the steel ones supplied from kooks, they look pretty tough

Those are a nice set of headers. The new collectors look pretty sweet too. Every set of Kooks i've ever seen are top notch!

Ive got the kooks with catted Y on my car- I agree, the quality was top notch. the welds that penetrated into the headers at the flange were ground off, the flange is nice, thick and rigid, and the collecter scavenger spike impressed me. its obvious some pride was taken in building these, and with the poly motor mounts, I dont bang exhaust under the car at all. clearance is good, not as good as stock but everything fits nice and tight under the car, and installation went without a hitch. couldn't be happier with em.

seriously though, I never used the percy's felt gaskets. the stocker MLS gaskets are a thing of beauty, most of the stocker gaskets on these motors are fantastic and you really dont need to screw with something that works. I put new stockers in, cost me maybe 40 bucks or so, and no leaks.
