General Maintenance & Repairs - window switch or motor?

hey guys my passenger window wont go down. when i press the switch up it clicks when i press it down it does nothing. the motor had been dieing for a wile but i just never roll the right window down.
so would it be the switch or motor it self?. thanks guys

im betting its the window motor gone bad, but no harm in checking the switch first

take the door panel off and run 2 wires from the window motor to the batt. touch the wires to the batt. One way will make the window go up and if you reverse the wires the window should go down (or in vis versa), if you reverse the polarity. If nothing happens then you need a motor, but if the window moves then you need a switch.

Hope this helps, I had do this to my truck ended up having to replace the window motor and the switch :(

also maybe the window fix mod from ws6 store will help

if the motor is going out the switch will work if you play with it . eventually though it will not work cause of the motor .

Probably a bad motor.

Make sure its the last time you replace this motor and get the AutoTrix Window Fix kit from the Ws6 Store
