Engine Sensor fuse blowing - T56 alternate solution
Just wanted to post this up in hopes it will help someone down the road. I had a problem with my eng sen fuse blowing over and over. I would drive it for several miles with no problems, shut it off, and then SES popped back on.
After determining it was NOT the O2 sensors and swapping out the MAF for a known good one, I had to determine it was the reverse lockout. I unplugged the critter and voila~ problem solved.
I know 90% of the time it is an O2 sensor rubbing (specially on long tube headers). However, this was my problem and had never heard of this before.
I am PRETTY sure I read somewhere that you can swap the skip shift solenoid for the reverse lockout if you don't want to "force" it passed the gate created by the solenoid, but for now... I am just running it as is.
