Default How tight do I go for the solenoid coil retaining nut?

Have a sticking purge valve... I pulled it apart partially (need to get a spanner wrench I guess). When I put the cover back on though... I can turn it from side to side. I don't want to go TOOO tight, but how tight is this supposed to be???? Seems I am putting in more turns than there was in the first place.

P.S. It's an NX Purge

the nut on the top just holds the coil in place on top of the plunger part of the noid it doesnt need to be super tight, i normaly just position the coil so the wires and label are facing how i want them to be then snug up the nut.

I use locktite on that nut. Like 69 Yenko said, it dosen't need to be tight, but the locktite keeps it in place.

One other thing is to make sure the pluger tube/shaft is tight in the valve body to prevent any leaks, as you've already found.
