**UPDATE**Did my Berger panel, and yes its on a NBM (pics maybe no 56k)
Couldn't have picked a hotter, muggier day but I figured what the hell. I know some will say its pointless but I picked up a spare panel pretty cheap and I still have the stocker if I want to go back.
before
The new panel was in decent shape but I didn't want the glossy look so I hit with some 600 grit
then I set up shop in the "spray booth" and started with Duplicolor sandable primer
after 3 coats of that I decided I liked the texture of it, it was pretty smooth so I didn't bother to sand it down and hit with Plasticote bumper black
and finally,you can almost tell!
the only thing bugging me at this point is that it doesn't line up right
The hardest part of the whole thing was trying to get the stupid spare tire/jack back in right which I gave up on.
UPDATE
Pulled the panel off and gave it three coats of Duplicolor truck and SUV clear. I really liked the flat but decided that since I live in a really dusty are it was going to be too hard to keep looking nice. I am really happy with the way it ended up looking though, it has a more satin look and is way easier to maintain.
Kind of hard to tell the difference from a distance

Thanks ! I (obviously) don't think its pointless either, but in a lot of other threads people are always saying it is because it doesn't stick out on a dark car. I am really happy with the way it turned out. The only thing I'm thinking is maybe I should have finished it with a low gloss clear to make it easier to keep clean? I also think I may skip on the inserts, at least for now.

i recommend doing the clear. Mine isnt cleared and im going to take it off and do it again so i can clear it. When the car gets wet, the panel will look like its soaking up the water and when the car was in the shop it got dusty, so naturally the shop washed it for me...but the dusty water made the panel a greyish color and it took forever to get it back to close to where it was...
i would take it off now and shoot the clear so you wont have to redo the whole thing later.

Looks good but it doesn't line up because of the bumper, not the panel.
Appears car was hit from the rear before and though bumper may have been replaced/repainted they didn't replace the bracket it mounts to which obviously got bent down.
Pull the rear bumper off (not hard, a few bolts), push the bracket back up (use your feet laying on your back if you must) and then bolt it back on. All will be well

I think it looks good, but fill-ins will bring it out and you will notice it more. Speaking of which, those fill-ins on the gloss panel you sanded where a real bitch to get out weren't they?
