Default solid roller LS3 stroker sheets

Well I do have a few posts going on now, one with videos and info in the multimedia section of the car being dyno'd at EPP and another that has been going on since spring about the start to finish build up of this engine combo from the shortblock to longblock, install to tune and dyno with pics.

I finally got the chance just a few short minutes ago to scan in all the dyno sheets I got from EPP while I was there so here they are with a rundown to how they were each accomplished.

First sheets we didnt know where to start logging from obviously so the pull was done from a little over 2000rpm to 7000rpm for safety to see how it would handle it (valve float issues etc). Also note they were done thru the factory rear half of my exhaust system which is bolted up to an ORY and 1-3/4" headers.

Once we were satisfied that there didnt appear to be any valve float and had an idea that the converter was flashing over 5000rpm, decided to do the pull from 5400-7500 and if the power increased we would look at doing another pull to 8000rpm. Also decided to open the electric cutout, knowing the stock muffler etc was obviously being a huge restriction.

Power started droping off by 7000 rpm so we realized there was no reason for a 8000rpm pull. I would like to think with some 1-7/8" or 2" step'd headers and good exhaust that it would of at least carried it passed 7000rpm's.

None the less I was still very psyched at this point. This is on a Mustang dyno in an automatic car with a 4000 stall converter and a freshly installed Ford 9" (M9) and big PST driveshaft. I was also using 20w50 oil for breakin cause the engine didnt even have 300miles on it yet.

I had been told that you could also make a Mustang dyno read like a Dynojet and I brought it up while the car was on the dyno and Brent @ EPP explained how and we did a pull to see.

He shut the Eddycurrent off of the rollers (which is basically the main difference between the dynos.) Ive heard there is anywhere from 8-15% differences from dyno to dyno by searching threads, and go figure converting my last Mustang dyno sheet using 8% gives me almost EXACTLY what we got on this pull with the Eddycurrent turned off on the dyno.

So that being said, I am extremely happy with the results from an automatic car with a 9" that has barely been broken in yet. I goto the track this weekend and Im anxious to find out what It will do there.

Looks very stout. Look forward to seeing your track times.

Thanks Pat!

I actually tried out their quarter mile sprint test. Tires spun on the rollers obviously but its still cool to see.

I have found the 1/4 mile simulation to be pretty darn accurate.

What exactly is the whole combo? What intake are you using? How large is the cam?

Great numbers from an auto with a 9". I am glad it all came together for you. I bet that thing will haul the mail at the track. What size solid did you go with again? Good luck.

Im using a FAST 90 ported by Tony of course. His AFR 225 heads with a solid roller cam. 254* and around 660"ish lift. This is on a 418 cubed ls3 stroker.

Right now my exhaust is lacking, but that just means I have more room for improvement. Ive got 1-3/4" pacesetters with a partially crushed pacesetter ORY-pipe. This is welded up to an electric cutout which is welded onto the factory back half of my exhaust with the factory stock muffler.

From the calculations Ive done, I should be right around 11.9:1 compression.

Well I didnt do too bad for only getting to do 3 passes without even getting a chance to do any adjustments to my tune or tire pressures or anything.

I did a couple of 11.1's @118 with a 1.64 60ft, and then a 11.0 @ 119.99 1.54 60ft. This was done at a local airport that closes it down for a weekend and runs 3 days out of the year so traction wasnt the greatest. Was still very happy tho!

I did the math and it looks like it was 1650D/A

I posted up some vid's of my passes in the multimedia section.
