Default I Need Quick Help HEADERS!!

I purchased a set of pacesetter longtube headers for my car. The mechanic working on the car right now says that he has to move the cat to install them. Also he says that they don;t have any collectors on them. Please explain this to me did anyone have this problem with these headers and what did you do to hook em up to the catalytic converter.. THANKS

If you're going from stock manifolds, then yes, the cats will have to be moved to the Y-pipe. They are LONG TUBES, so they come all the way out to the bottom of the car, nothing like the stock manifolds...

Let your mechanic do what he needs to, sounds like he knows what he's doing.

if he takes the converters off make sure you get them back. i woudl be more than glad to buy them from you and a very good price. if you let him keep them he is making $100 to $200 that should be yours.

My buddy bought Pacesetter headers and apparently they didn't come with collectors on them. He got them through his dad's work of some ****, but they definitely didn't have collectors on them, and he had to send them back.

Make sure the mechanic's talking about the actual collector. He might mean that there's no 3 bolt flange on there or something if he's not use to working on these cars.

Hopefully you bought a Y pipe. Get the cats back from him. There's a guy on here that buys them for like $160.

I may be confused, cause I thought the collector was part of the headers....
