I ran my stock 1995 covertible formula a4 beat a 1993 trans am (stock) twice my best was 14.9 the trans ams best was 15.1 my best 60ft was 2.3 any suggestions on getting the 60ft down well getting to mid 14s,i was shooting for under 15s so i met my goal now im shooting for 14.5 or better btw im thinking of puuting 1.6 roller rockers on self aligning and i have new springs would this be a decent mod, and a cai how much would these mods drop my times if any

The 1.6 rockers would be a decent mod, but you might want to start with the basic bolt ons first to support mods like that. Think about getting a catback, CAI, maybe some headers if you really want to dive in there.

Honestly if you just picked up a pair of used MTs/Nittos/Hoosiers you would meet both goals of getting that 60ft down and cutting that 14.9 to something like a 14.5 or less with some good launches. I just got a set for $100.00, just broken in with a few passes.

Suspension and tires is how you get the short times down and of course gears and a stall but those two aren't worth squat without suspension and tires because they put the power to the ground. I would suggest picking up a used set of DR's preferably M/T Et Streets and throw on a set of Lower Control Arms and you would be alot more happy with your times.

Your 2.3 60' 14.9 will be about a 14.3 if you get say a 2.0 60' and I would assume you to get a 1.9x-2.0 60' if you added tires and a little suspension.
