there once was a website where all kinds of different LS1edit files where postet for download, since I can't find it anywhere on the Web I suppose the website just doesn't exist anymore. Is there another place where you can download these files?
I wanted to look to some other peoples tune to compare it with mine just to see if I'm too far off with my tune....

Not that I'm aware of. The site you're referring to has been gone for quite a while. For a while it had a letter from Hypertech in it's place asking for it to be removed. Most people have shifted to other tuning solutions so there really isn't much call for something like what you are looking for with LS1Edit.

You should contact Carputing (maker of LS1Edit) or ask Camaroholic on this board. One of them might know how to access that database of LS1Edit files.
