It depends on the year. Some 01's and all 02's used the LS6, and some 01's and all before that used the LS1. That is true with all f-bodys though. The SLP was just exhaust, lid, and MAF maybe.

look on the passenger door for a slp alteration decal. that will tell you which slp options it has. some slp options were

slp ss front grille
bilstein shocks/eibach springs
35mm front sway bar
345 hp package which is slp dual dual catback and slp blackwing air lid
slp center mount exhaust(same as the slp dual dual but with center tips)
ss floormats and deck mat
slp chrome wheels which could be zr1's or ten spokes
camaro ss portfolio(fancey owners manual)
ss car cover
auburn or zexol torsen rear diff.

i think that cover them all

yes it did, it was changed apparently. 01+ exhaust manifolds didnt have provisions for EGR, which LS1 F-body non LS6 intake (99-00) had.

You have a SLP sticker on the passenger side door that list the slp mods. My 2001 SLP SS came with the center tip exhaust, rear valance, 10-spoke wheels, and slp grill insert.

Only if the car was ordered w/ additional Y2Y SLP options.

oh! yes it did! That has nothing to do with SLP. No EGR hence LS6 intake

not neccissarily, the vettes never had EGR and they had LS1 intakes.

It has to be a late build 02 and the only way you can tell is by the part number on the back of block. It doesnt make a performance difference at all so you cant tell by looking or driving it.

No, it didn't. It might have been swapped, but is wasn't on there. And if you look at my first post, I said it had nothing to do with the SLP package. And I agree about the Vette LS1 intakes without EGR. Hence you don't know everything.

My 02 SOM WS6 has a LS6 block but I think my 02 Firehawk has a LS1 block. I havent checked but it has the "bullseye" markings and is rougher cast than the one in the WS6. Both were late 02 builds (the SOM car VERY LATE.)

The Y2Y rpo just states from the factory that it was ordered with options from SLP. They vary depending on what the customer wanted. Could have been from a key fobs to the whole 9.

I guess you guys with the 01 LS6 blocks lucked out.

all 01's and 02's had the ls6 intake, despite your friends car. and no car ordered thru slp ever came with an slp maf, the only performance parts the car came with is the blackwing lid, the different cat back be it the cme or the dual performance exhaust, the slp/eibach springs and bilstein shocks, and the synthetic oiling pakage, be it the quaker state that they used on the 96-99 or the mobil 1 they used 00-02... on the accesorry side, you could get a stupid portfolio, birth certificate, different wheels, a car cover and deck mat floor mats and key fobs and dash plaque, all those options my 02 came with minus the bilsteins. btw my car has the ls6 block as well.

to answer the op's question the only thing to be of value as far as the intake is concerned, is the factory slp blackwing lid assuming the car had the 345hp package but its probably long gone by now. the wheels and maybe the interior dress up shit you may want for your car. other than that its probably a low optioned car.

I was saying what I know. The only thing I know is what his car came with. And he was told from the guy who sold it to him was that is came with the different maf. Which is why I said maybe. because I didn't believe it.

my slp ss is an 01, this is what the y2y sticker says, it came with the ss grill insert, center mount exhaust, some type of different floor mats, camaro plaque on the console above the stereo, car cover, and a few other stupid things, the maf is the regular 75 mm, as for the lid and stuff it did not say anything about that on the sticker, but when i bought it, it had the slp lid and airbox with it. they call the 01's the 335 horse version, and the 02's r the 345 horse version, thats what slp told my dad
i am assumin the 345 came with the slp lid and blackwing airfilter.:chug:

A large % of 01 & 02 cars came with LS6 blocks. Not just the SS's, Z28's as well. You need to check the casting # on the back of the block. You need a mirror to see it. I have the # around somewhere. Don't know it off the top of my head. There was no additional HP from the block. Just a different cooling passage between the rear cylinders.

just checked mine to see if it came with the ls6 block and it doesnt, the ls1 blocks last three digits are 378 the ls6 blocks last three digits r 168, i had to jack my dang car up to look at it, after i did that i could just shine a light right on it. the casting number is just below the head on the drivers side on the back of the block.
