Default Break in Moser more than istructions say?

I did the break in according to what moser said on the instructions. Is it a good idea to do any more than that before I go do a banzai clutch drop at the track?

Ive been doing 5-10 mile drives now giving it time to cool in between for 50 miles or so as of today.

It makes perfect sense to me but why break it in for that long? Is there any specific reason?

It's not the mileage. It's the heat cycleing.

because most ring and pinion manufacturers, and installers reccomend 200-500 miles depending on who you ask. (at least the ones I have looked into, Moser obviously differs on this)

also, most reccomend a minimum of 500 miles, some 500 miles over and above the standard break in for towing applications, so mileage must have something to do with it.

You need trips of 25 miles or more to get good heat cycles. 200 - 350 is what I would use depending upon how long it takes you get at least 5 good heat cycles.

25 miles without getting into it well I guess no more for a little while. Maybe I will be able to keep my foot out of the throttle body...lol and especially 5 trips of 25...I think i can do it...I better do it...laterz
