LS1 swap Oil pressure sender issues.3 wire??2wire??1wire??
Ok guys. I did a search and can't find out any info. I've got a 92 z28 I'm putting a ls1 into. The ls1 is a 2002 and same with ecm.My aftermarket harness has a 3 wire oil pressure connector and no output for my gauge. My LS1 has a 1 terminal oil pressure sensor. I've got most of it together except this. What are the pin outs for the terminals? Can I just switch senders? What to do for an output for the gauge? Thanks!

The LS1 02 ECM / PCM doesn't need input from the oil sensor to run the engine, if you want to get output to a gauge using the LS1 sensor and ECM, you would need to have the wiring and BCM wired up also and then the correct dash (or aftermarket) Gauge.
You should be able to swap your early GM (LT1) sendor in place of the LS1 one. You can get a adapter (Metric to NPT) or what I do.. take the LS1, break the black plastic part of.. gut the rest and take the alum bottom part, drill and tap to your early LT1 sensor thread size. Then just connected it up and do away with the LS1 wiring for the sensor.
