Got dry spots on one of my cars from the water sprinklers at my job. It's been on my car for almost 4 weeks now. I've washed, clay bar, and even used some stuff that says it removes water stains. The spots just got liter, but the darn spots aren't coming off. It's even worse on the windows. Sometimes I have to roll down my windows so that I can see. So what could I use and where can I buy something that will remove water stains??

for the paint clay bar then polish and buff. for the window I heard using vinegar for the windows but hasn't worked on my girl's car or my dd.

did u also try to rub the clay on the windows? as for the paint, i would first start off with a paste style compound not so abrasive tho until u need to. have u also tried scratch and swirl remover? and im sure u tried to clean the windows with pure alcohol right? or maybe try a special glass cleaner

I've tried all that you both mentioned, except the pure alcohol on the windows and vinegar. But I heard that vinegar doesn't work either. I'll try to use pure alcohol and see how that works.

hopefully it works, try to also use a buffer to work with the waxes and polishes and stuff on the paint

ColorX by Meguiars is a good start, you can work it with a foam applicator pretty rough and the product is a stong cleaner wax. Make sure the surface is cool and clean before you begin. If that fails, try some M80 or M83 with a polishing pad and a DA. If THAT doesn't work, let me know and I'll give you the address/time of a place where a professional (Meguiars employee) will take a look at it free of charge :)

try the vinegar. when we take our boat out of the lake its the first thing we spray on and wipe off to get rid of the water spots. won't hurt anything and im sure you've got some in your house.

take your car to the adams detail seminar at rynes shope, they will get the spots out and get your car looking and feeling good. then you can get a good deal on some necessity's, thats waht i did more than a year ago, have not washed my car since, just wipe it down with detail spray.

actually to be completely correct, a year and 6 months, and yeah when i drive it it gets dusty but i just wipe it off with a microfiber and some spray everytime i drive it about once a week. other than that it sits covered outstide. i used to have a garage it made things much easier but not anymore

For the windows use Soap and Steelwool. Believe me you would think it would scratch the glass but it does not. I used to detail cars for 3 years at a chevy dealer and we used it on just about every car. Well over 5000 cars in that period of time and not one came back for scratches on glass.

On the paint we would use a wet 100% cotton rag and wheel acid. Making sure the paint was cool and wet, Apply and rub then wash off within 30 seconds.

When you use vinegar, mix it 50/50 with distilled water. That's what I use on my boat and it cleans water spots no problem
