Default QTP ORY + Cat-Back = Trimming Required?

Just a quick question...

I have QTP headers, ORY, and a Magnaflow cat-back. Everything fit very well, with one exception... I had to trim a few inches off the i-pipe in order for it to all fit properly.

Anyone else have to do this? As far as I could tell, it was the only way to make it work. It'll just feel better if other people had to do the same.

Thanks, now I don't feel bad about breaking out the saw and hacking it up!

My passenger side is sticking out about 2" farther than the driver side.
Is cutting the I pipe the fix for this? I think I'm just going to leave mine alone.

Are you talking about the Magnaflow tips? Mine sit pretty close to level/even, but I've heard others complain about that.

Cutting the i-pipe won't do anything about that. All you can really do is tweak the muffler and tips with the clamps loose to get them to sit as close to ideal as possible, then clamp it down.

I had to cut the I-pipe on mine, ended up cutting it a little too much . When putting the i-pipe on the y pipe take the I pipe completely out of the car and then slide it onto the y-pipe first. If you put it on the y-pipe and then to the rest of the cat back(where it connects just before the axle) I bet you won't have to cut the I-pipe. I didn't realize this until it was too late.
