Rear main seal. difference between 93-96 and 1997 seal?

Default Rear main seal. difference between 93-96 and 1997 seal?
There are 2 different rear main seals for the LT1s. is there a difference between the two? or is the 97 an improved one and I should probably get it for my 96? any info is appreciated!

They are all the same unless it is teflon or something. I always use the plain rubber ones.

We always use the 97- seal.
