Default Lowered in NJ?

In this great state I live in, the roads for the most part, for lack of a better term, suck *****. I was looking to lower my car with the Strano Springs, which are advertised a 1.2" drop and from what I've seen, don't even sag after prolonged driving. I have ARH LTs and a Magnaflow catback (I-pipe could use some adjustment to tuck up, but haven't scraped yet knock on wood). Am I foolish for wanting to drop this much where I live? Thanks.

haha, when i bought my car last year it was SLAMMED with the eibach sportline and was WAYYY too low. it was rough to drive around. i think if you go with the BMR 1 inch drops all around you will be fine.

Thanks, I was also looking at the BMRs because they are also a mild(er) drop. Did you end up keeping the eibach springs in or swapping them out for something less... extreme. I remember a local car that had them on his car and besides just looking weird, it looked like it would've scraped ants crossing the road.

a lot of guys we know are SLAMMED and they don't scrap, just be careful. The Strano drop does look just right.

similar thread to this in the suspension section. i have stranos and konis, and in NE NJ. it all depends on your exhaust. mine was done very badly by a shop, so it hangs alot lower then it could. i scrape on EVERYTHING. if i daily drove her, id never lower it, especially with this setup. if your exhaust tucks up VERY well, then youd be alright. but for a driver/toy thats not goign to be raced, i wouldnt go with strano/konis. look for something cheaper and that doesnt drop as much, considering our roads.

my car is fine with strano springs. the front air dam does scrape a little on steeper driveways.

when i had a TSP catted y-pipe, the cats would scrape a little if i hit a speed bump faster than a few mph. with my Pacesetter ORY, i can take speed bumps at 8 mph or so without hearing metal scrape.

i'm in the armpit of north jersey and my car isn't anywhere near as bad as you guys are making yours out to be. i have all the great potholes of the passaic-essex county border. i have even driven my car in greenwich village with no regrets.

YO Dude! Roads by me are bad also but i can honestly tell you if you get Koni shocks with strano springs your car will ride better than stock. I had the Koni SA's on my old Trans Am and I will replace the ones on my WS6 with Konis when its time

yeah man. i daily drive mine with stranos, konis. unless you live in a urban area, somewhere with extra crappy roads (crappier then typical NJ of course), or have a really steep driveway, i would go for it.
