Where can I get an ascd cowl hood from? I cant find it anywhere, and I guess ascd stopped selling? I like this hood better than the VFN(I think, I need more pics) and want one. Can anyone help me out?

You mean you found American sports car design. If you look on their homepage it says they arent accepting orders. What I meant to say is there another vendor out there that sells ASCD's hoods.
Nice looking car in sig. It says firebird but it looks like a trans am front end so I dont know what it is only that it looks slick.

Hmm, well their site lets you check out and place your order. I would probably give them a call in case they just haven't updated their site. Can't find any other vendors though.

Thanks for the compliment. It's just a base model Firebird that I converted to the T/A body panels. Not going to start calling it a Trans Am until I get the V8 in there.

Anyone know which hood this is? Is it the VFN or ASCD? To me it looks like the ASCD and this is why I want one. If you look at the front end of the hood it looks different to me than the pics Ive seen of the VFN.

I think thats more of a harward(sp?) cowl hood. Looks good on LT1's but not so much LS1's. Thanks for the pic though, Ill add it to the collection!
Ok seriously where the hell do I get an ASCD hood?!

Ok after long deliberations I have decided to go with VFN 4 inch cowl. going for the old school look!
So how the f@#k do you order from VFN? Do you have to call it in?

Man honestly its probably gonna be just as expensive to repair the ss hood as it is to buy the cowl hood.
I was driving out from work last week and saw a V6 camaro with altezza tails, front headlight covers and an ss hood. They have become played out.
And cowl hoods just look mean! You dont agree Gil?

No man Im not going with the sunoco, Im getting a 4 inch traditional cowl hood. That with the SS spoiler and I think itll be looking pretty nice. Hell mark stayed up till damn near 2 AM talking with me about this! I think itll pull off my retro look pretty well.

Honestly I daont like the sunoco on white cars. They look great on darker colors but not white. Personal preference I guess.
As far as harwood cowls....Yech! I wouldnt wish one of those on my worst enemy! They look OK on LT1 cars but they just look like 10lbs of **** stuffed into a 5lbs bag on LS1's.
I would rather shove broken shards of glass up my *** and sit in a bucket of tobasco sauce than get a harwood hood.
But hey thanks for the opinion, I really do appreciate it as that was the opinion of this thread to get ideas. Thanks anyway!

I agree, Harwood looks AMAZING on LT1's:

but just not as good on LS1's, not bad IMO, just not as good:

I suppose I may have been a little too adamant on my rant about harwoods. They just make me wretch!

This is the picture that sealed the deal with me for a 4 inch

So...anyone interested in a slightly damaged OEM SS hood?
