are 2 1/4'' cutouts enough?
i've got long tubes with a 3'' collector going into 2 1/4'' true duals that reduce to 2'' when it goes over the axle and into flowmaster single chambers. i want to put in 2 manual cut-outs right after the headers. should i just get 2 1/4'' cutouts or would it be worth it to put 2.5'' or 3'' pipe off the header and then reduce it into the 2 1/4'' pipe and put the cutout in the larger pipe? basically, would i be losing anything by running 2 1/4'' cutouts as opposed to 2.5'' or 3''?

yea, thats what i told the guy that ran the exhaust, but i took it to a different shop today and they said it was 2 1/4 and then they made it 2'' to go over the axle for some reason. pissed me off. thats why i'm going to do cutouts for racing, so i dont have to rerun the whole exhaust.

yea, it's been too long to take it back. and a weld inside my ds collector broke so it rattles like crazy, i'm so tired of messing with my exhaust. the other shop said they could fix the collector for about 50 bucks so if i can get that and 3'' pipe into 2 cutouts, i'll just leave it at that.

anybody think two 2 1/4'' cut outs will be enough? shouldn't they flow better than a y-pipe with with a 3'' cutout in the I-pipe which is what most people run anyway?
