Default D.S Saftey Loop

Whats the NHRA rules on it, How fast does the car have to be before it's required for saftey is it still any under the 14s? I have never seen it enforced at the track during tech.

The track here told me you need it if you have slicks.

pretty sure its any car running faster than 14.00 though its not something they really ever check for in my experience. Just bring a helmet and you should be fine

Thinking about getting one any way, I plan to spray a 175-200 shot out the hole on ET Streets

Never hurts having one, i think the rule is if your running slicks no matter how fast or slow the car is, it needs to have a DS loop.

they are pretty cheap and easy to put on. I'd just get one and be done with it. especially since you really don't want the ds coming thought the trans tunnel if something does go wrong.

13. If your rear-wheel-drive vehicle is equipped with slicks and capable of running quicker than 13.00 in the quarter-mile, a driveshaft loop is required. Consult with our Tech Inspectors for specifics.

Firebird International Raceway rules. I've been teched to 12.50 without it though.

Neil,

Get a torque arm that has one, UMI 2203 is a siiiick peice!

And i think its 12.99 or faster. Or on slicks, a DOT tire should be fine.

I have a Global West Track Link on the car, they recomended a universal loop one from Summit. Ony 25$, think I'll go ahead and get one.
