i was just reading an article in (i think chevy high perfamance) and they were talking about how the flange on the crank of the lsx motors sit .400" closer toi the block and that when gm used the 4l80e they used a diff flywheel with a spacer to move the flywheel/flexplate further out and now even tci makes a kit the flexplate and s[acer and its sfi spec.

but i didnt think about how this would eefect the starter?

but i think you can just use the spacer and the 4l80 flexplate. but you have to drill the holes for the converter a little. its in that article.

Just buy the TCI flexplate. It is a bolt-on deal, has a bolt pattern for the TH350 or 4L60E. It is SFI approved too. No spacers required.
