Default no tax weekend, need new tires

ok since this weekend theres no sales tax and im going to need tires for the winter, i want to take advantage now while i can. im looking for a good winter tire not an all season tire. i have other tires i use during the warmer time of the year. i take alot of trips up to NH and Maine for snowbaording and snowmobiles. so im looking for opinions on any tires, cuz i dont want to get talk into buyin something by a sales person. i have a 1500 GMC seirra, reg. cab. shortbed. 16" wheels. right now i have dunlop rover touring lt 265/75/

Look into the Toyo Open Country, Nitto Terra Grappler, or Mickey Thompson ATZ. I highly recommend them. I am running a set of Wrangler A/T that I am not impressed with, but came new on the Tahoe when I bought it. The three I listed will get you great mileage out of them. Also try www.gmfullsize.com

They perform ok in mud, not great, but not horrible. But I would find the best price out of the three I listed. I would stay away from the BFG A/T KO.
