help! aftermarket valve covers, gaskets dont fit

Default help! aftermarket valve covers, gaskets dont fit

ls1speed valve covers, and the orginal gaskets just seems to long, i've tryed everything i can think of, but always to long

They will fit..

ALL of the rubber GM gaskets dont line up perfectly with the valvecovers. First install the side with the dimples in it. Then as your installing the long side kinda squish the gasket together. You'll need to do it a few times. Their a pain inthe ***..

thank you, i will keep trying, it was a question of fe mm's, but i've just tryed for an hour or so

tryed agen, it just dosnt happen, will it be easyer with new gaskets?

It might be easier with a new gasket. I installed some brand new gaskets on a set of aftermarket valecovers and it took two or three times before I got them to fit right. Just keep trying.

yeah i think mine are extra bas.. i also installed them on the old covers, that was nothing liek it is now

one thing that is bugging me, do i need some adapters for the cone filters on the valve cover?
