Default Walbro pump bad after 40 miles.

I just put a Walbro 255 pump in and while i was driving you could see the fuel pressure slowly drop off till it hit 2 psi wtf. I put the stock pump back in and works fine, pressure is at 40 psi.

name-brand walbro 255? or a knock-off brand that is a "walbro style" pump?

the knock-offs seem to be hit-or miss from what I've gathered.

it may be stamped walbro on the side, but where/who did you buy it from? my walbro (with appropriate wiring harness) has been working strong for almost 2yrs now.

Same here but probably less miles than that, of course this was 3-4 years ago now...replaced it with new one and no problems since.

I got it off a store on ebay. they are going to refund or replace it for me. No i did not run it dry or i dont think i had it in the tank before i put power to it. I guess it was just a bad pump.
